| Women make more purchases than any other group of
people. Women write 92% of checks in the United States. Women make
or directly influence 91% of health decisions, 92% of vacation planning
and 94% of home furnishing sales. Women are responsible for 60% of
auto sales. Consider the following: |
- Women's Lifestyle Northshore is the only regional and free magazine
devoted to women in the area. You can know that our readers are
your targeted customers.
- We are the ONLY magazine that covers the four and ½ counties
of Muskegon, Oceana, Mason, Manistee and Northern Ottawa. This
allows you to reach a large part of your audience in one publication.
- We are growing-our first edition was 32 pages in September 2005
in about 70 locations. We are now 36 pages-some months 40-and
we are now in over 250 locations.
- We have less than a 1% return on our magazine and in certain
months, we run out before the middle of the month. The average
rate of return for a free magazine ranges from 5-10%. We print
10,500 copies and expect to distribute 11,000 by summer due to
our recent expansion into Grand Haven and Spring Lake.
- Women love and read our magazine. Targeted to 24-64, the average
reader is an educated woman in her 40's and 50's. We have many
women over 70 who read and love the magazine as well as women
in their 20's and 30's. Although we don't have formal proof, we
pay close attention to who picks up the magazine and ask plenty
of questions to our advertisers as well. We average 2-3 phone
calls and emails a week from readers who tell us they love the
magazine and read it cover to cover. Also, the Women's Lifestyle
Magazine in Grand Rapids has done formal stats through Arbitron
and the findings are consistent.
- We offer a "Spotlight on Business" which allows our advertisers
to announce new programs, etc. We continue to find ways to promote
our advertisers.
- We are community minded and our entire staff is geared toward
promoting and networking our advertisers whenever we can.
- Women are more likely to purchase items that they have seen
in a print ad than any other method of advertising. (American
